Chemtura Corporation announced today that Karen R. Osar, executive vice president and chief financial officer, has announced her intention to retire on or about March 31, 2007. The Company has commenced a process to name her successor and expects to make an announcement during the first quarter of 2007.

A copy of a press release announcing Ms. Osar’s intention to retire on or about March 31, 2007 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
