Gillette is announcing the appointment of a Gillette GBU Transition Integration Team. This team will manage the integration work and planning with a P&G team for the Blades & Razors, Duracell and Braun businesses, which will be part of the new Gillette GBU. It will also manage the contacts between the two companies from a Gillette perspective until the transaction is approved/closed. Gillette and P&G discussions will take place under the guidelines established by the Global Integration Team. The overall objective of the team is to:
Integrate the new Gillette GBU into P&G Post-closing in a way which ensures we sustain business momentum immediately upon closing, enables the success of Gillettes employees, and accelerates results by leveraging the best of both organizations.
Key Goals include:
Short-term focus will be on overall organization design choices for the GBU, critical work processes which must be integrated and functioning smoothly at close, integration of the corporate marketing functions, and clear definition of roles and responsibilities and the key interfaces between the new Gillette GBU and P&G Commercial Operations. We will collaborate closely with the Commercial Operations and other Transition Integration Teams, identifying opportunities to take advantage of each companys capabilities to accelerate business growth and employee development. In addition, we will work closely with the Oral Care and Personal Care businesses to ensure that they are leveraging our learnings to integrate successfully into the P&G organization.
