Halliburton Company (HAL) , valued at $29.29B, began trading this morning at $34.85. A quick look at the market, the company’s stock traded between $33.83 and $35.30 and has traded between $27.64 and $50.20 over the past 12 months. HAL shares are currently priced at 97.47x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively expensive compared to the industry’s 0.04x forward p/e ratio. And for those looking to make a return holding the stock, the company pays shareholders $0.72 per share annually in dividends, yielding 2.05%. In a review of the consensus earnings estimate this quarter, 33 sell-side analysts are looking at $0.07 per share, which would be $0.42 worse than the year-ago quarter and a $0.11 sequential decrease.
