Market Update (NYSE:MET): MetLife Hong Kong Awarded “Caring Company”

During the trading session, MET traded between $46.23 to $46.81 and has traded between $35.00 and $58.23 over the past year. MET shares are currently priced at 8.24x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively inexpensive compared to the industry’s 14.86x forward p/e ratio. The company pays shareholders $1.50 per share in dividend income per year, for a current yield of 3.20%. Consensus earnings for the current quarter by the 18 sell-side analysts covering the stock is an estimate of $1.38 per share, which would be $0.06 worse than the year-ago quarter and a $0.05 sequential decrease.
