New York, N.Y. — January 17, 2020 — Is your family eligible for the VA Aid and Attendance Benefit for veterans and their spouses to afford home care assistance? US Veteran Care has VA Accredited Benefits Agents ready to assist your family with obtaining this little-known benefit.

Nationwide there are over 10 million veterans and their spouses who qualify for the Aid & Attendance benefit, but according to US Veteran Care, only 5% are currently taking advantage of it. The Department of Veterans Affairs will provide up to $2,200 per month for home care for veterans.

“Our agents have heard of families waiting nearly a decade to secure this benefit, but so far US Veteran Care agents have logged a 95.5% approval rate,” said Dimitri Mishiev, owner of U.S. Veteran Care and Home Care for Adults. “Your father, mother or friend may be eligible for this unique benefit. We salute all veterans and their surviving spouses.”

In order to qualify, veterans and their spouses need to be over the age of 65. Beneficiaries must demonstrate that they served with an “active military” status for 90 days during an approved time of war, for example, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, or the Gulf War. They needed to have been honorably discharged from the military and meet certain income requirements, but that doesn’t mean they need to be living in poverty to qualify.

Highly trained and competent caregivers from Home Care for Adults provide non-medical home care services to individuals with disabilities, injuries, difficulties with mobility or illnesses. They also assist veterans and spouses with bathing, grooming, meal preparation and more. With a plethora of services, the goal is for veterans to maintain an independent life in the residence of their choosing.

Families interested in pursuing the VA Aid & Attendance Benefit can contact US Veteran Care for guidance. VA Accredited Benefit Agents will help you collect copies of all relevant records and coordinate the application on your behalf. The entire process can be done from the comfort of your home.

Free consultations are available to families by calling (929) 205-5558.
