New Oriental Holds Annual General Meeting of Shareholders
New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc. (“New Oriental” or the “Company”) (NYSE: EDU), the largest provider of private educational services in China, would like to report the results of its annual general meeting of shareholders held on May 14, 2009 in Hong Kong. New Oriental’s shareholders approved the appointment of John Zhuang Yang as an independent director of the Company, but did not approve the Company’s proposed amendment of its 2006 Share Incentive Plan.
