Item 8.01 Other Events

                On November 1, 2017, the Board of Directors of Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) approved an extension to its share repurchase program announced on September 16, 2015. The share repurchase program was set to expire on March 15, 2018  and has now been extended to December 31, 2019. As of November 1, 2017, the Company had $75.0 million remaining for the authorized repurchase of shares of common stock of the Company. Repurchases under the program may be made from time-to-time in the public or private markets, through block trades, Rule 10b5-1 trading plans or other available means and may include the use of derivative contracts and structured and accelerated share repurchase agreements, all in accordance with applicable securities and other laws, including the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended. There is no minimum number of shares to be repurchased under the program, and the program may be suspended or discontinued at any time.
