Item 8.01           Other Events

          On August 7, 2007, a press release was issued by GammaCan International, Inc. (the “Registrant”) (OTCBB: GCAN) disclosing GammaCan’s receipt from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of orphan drug designation for its lead anti-cancer immunotherapy, VitiGam™ for the treatment of Stage IIB to Stage IV metastatic melanoma.

          A copy of GammaCan’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1
