Our previous sales guidance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2006, encompassing the reporting period of January 29, 2006 to April 29, 2006, was for total sales to be in the range of $845 to $870 million. As of April 6, the Company’s sales may be characterized as in line with guidance, and we are therefore reaffirming that range.

As of April 6, 2006, Dollar Tree operated 3,100 stores in 48 states, including 2,962 Dollar Tree Stores and 138 Deal$ stores, compared to 2,776 stores in 48 states at April 7, 2005.
