David Woroboff, Board Member, Discusses The Debbie Allen Dance Academy’s Night to Remember

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / December 6, 2022 / The Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) and the Annenberg Foundation present a night to remember, an event that is formulated to benefitting the young people and all the arts and education programming at DADA. The event was held on the 17th of November at the Rhimes Performing Arts Center. The mission of the event was to enrich, transform and inspire the lives of Debbie Allen Dance Academy students by raising money for kids who attend the academy, but need help financially. It was a magical night featuring Ne-Yo, with dancing from Rasta Thomas, Vivian Nixon and others. Supporters who have dedicated themselves to the arts were also in attendance, like Jada Pinkett Smith and her mother. Among the board members in support and passionate about art is David Woroboff, an advisor on numerous boards and an individual who loves organizations that help young people reach their goals, just like DADA. David Woroboff has been a board member for over 17 years, and believes kids need to express themselves and they need our support to accomplish this.

The event included dinner catered by the famous Craig's Chef, Kursten Kizer. The gala, which had a major impact on the world of dance, collected scholarship funds to continue DADA's mission to reach out to youths that have an interest in dance but may not be able to afford the academy. It is a move and mission strongly supported by the board of directors, including David Woroboff. According to his statement "to give is to invest in the life of someone else." He also believes that "the value of money isn't what it can buy, but how many it can help". Therefore, he is committed to serving on the board and helping as much as possible. Other notable board members are; Phylisha Rashad, Shonda Rhimes, Susie Spanos, Sam Haskell and Betsy Borns.

The center opened in April with the help of many generous donations including from Shonda Rhimes, Wallis Annenberg, Tyler Perry, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and more believers in Debbie Allen and her vision. NeYo was the perfect performer and he was amazing. A very elegant event that even included Vivian Nixon dancing, Debbie Allen and Norm Nixon's daughter"
