By: Get News
Cancer and chronic illness are rough to battle at any age. No child should lose their shine and excitement for life to it.

San Antonio, TX, USA – August 9, 2021 – Cancer and other terminal diseases are a hard-hitting experience at any age. While no child should lose the excitement for life to it, it still is a rough ride for many; who lose the vigor battling this life-threatening disease. The Ferrari Kid is a not-for-profit organization that celebrates children with cancer and other terminal illnesses. It allows these children to put aside their worries and experience the joy of life in the bright lights and the fast lanes.

Manuel Diotte, the Chief Memory Maker at The Ferrari Kid, a contributing author to #1 New York bestseller, and a keynote speaker had a very rough upbringing. Given six months to live at the age of seven due to cancer, Manuel spent the rest 3.5 years of his life at the hospital undergoing treatment for cancer. Manuel feels immense empathy for kids battling cancer and other illness since he has been in their position before. Being a cancer survivor, Manuel came with a dream to assist other children that are battling the same deadly disease.

The Ferrari Kid, Manuel’s non-profit venture offers free Ferrari rides to kids, enabling them to create memories of a lifetime for more than 9 years. Currently, the count of kids that have created cherishing memories at The Ferrari Kid is 2100 and Manuel hopes to help as many kids as possible. Speaking about his experiences as a cancer survivor and his dream of helping others, he expresses that, “I was seven years old when the Doctors first cut me open, but little did I know I would have surgery every year of my life and sometimes twice the same year. After 48 operations, 3 & 1/2 years in and out of hospitals, two years of chemotherapy and radiation treatment, I’ am blessed to beat the odds against me. The result left many scars inside and out, and like so many other kids, much pain.”

The Ferrari kids specialize in making kids celebrities for a day away from their worries of regular hospital treatments. Manuel recalling his own experience with Dr. Timothy Miller, states, “at the Los Angeles International Airport, I saw a Ferrari 328, and I asked the owner if I could take a picture next to the car, which forever changed me. At that moment, I felt like a rock star, a real celebrity! He let me sit in it, and over 20 years later, I still have never forgotten that experience.” Similar to his own experience, The Ferrari Kids provides the kids with a life-changing experience. The moment the kids are picked up in a Ferrari, the excitement begins.

They arrive at a celebrity destination of their choice and receive a V.I.P experience, complete with red carpet, ropes, paparazzi, and autograph-seeking fans. It’s a day they will forever remember, allowing them to have fun and merely be a kid. It’s a beautiful day full of enjoyment, love, and hope that they and their families can enjoy. Additionally, the kids and their families can enter the monthly support group: THE HOPE TANK, which provides support and resources to continue their battle against cancer. The Ferrari kid celebrates life and these children without any prejudice and judgment.
