My Covenant Place in Partnership with the University of Baltimore Hosts its 3rd Bi-annual Domestic Violence Awareness ForumThis Forum Seeks to Increase Awareness of Intimate Partner/Domestic Violence Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic Under the Theme ‘A Quiet Storm Amidst A Global Pandemic’

My Covenant Place in partnership with the University of Baltimore is set to host its 3rdBi-annual forum which will shine the spotlight on Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The highly-anticipated forum will take place on Thursday, October 28 at 6:00 P.M sharp. The event is free for all members of the public and will be virtual.

US Congressman Kwiesi MFume will present remarks, while Dean of The University of Maryland, Dr. Roger Hartley, will open the forum with the welcome. Lyn Twyman of Lasers will serve as the moderator of all discussions. There will also be a slew of riveting panelists presenting, which include:

  • Sierra Egan, MS., Case Manager, University of Maryland SAFE Center 
  • Dr. Vaylah Benjamin Clinton, LCPS-AS, Director of Violence Intervention Programs, My Covenant Place
  • Amy Hott, JD, Assistant States Attorney, Howard County States Attorney’s Office
  • Suzanne Bailey, JD, Director Multi-Ethnic Domestic Violence Project (MEDOVI), Women’s Law Center
  • Dr. Tanya Rogers, LMSW, MHS, Senior Trauma Therapist, My Covenant Place 


The forum will also include a segment that will feature Victim Services Coordinator with Maryland Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB) Gloria Luckett.

The Bi-annual Domestic Violence Awareness Forum is organized by the students of UB’s Bachelor of Arts in Human Services Administration program, co-sponsored by Howard County’s Rise to the Challenge Grant and the UB’s Office of Government and Community Relations.
