The 2021 Japanese and Korean (Qingdao) Imported Commodities Fair (Online Exhibition) was Held

The 2021 Japanese and Korean (Qingdao) Imported Commodities Fair (Online Exhibition) was formally held on December 17, 2021 with a duration of two days. The theme of this fair was “Conglomerate and Interact to Energize for Future”, and applied the innovative mode of “Online Cloud Exhibition”, hence creating an international, brand-based, professional new online platform for the economic and trade collaborations between China, Japan and South Korea by combining the roles of exhibitions, promotions, negotiations as well as business and trade.

The fair this year had three theme-based exhibition areas, namely the area of imported commodities from Japan and South Korea, the area of Japanese and Korean enterprises, and the area of cross border E-commerce products. The range of exhibitions included eight categories, namely beauty products, household chemicals, shoes/clothing/suitcases/bags, food and beverages, equipment manufacturing products, daily necessities, digital appliances and building/decorating materials. More than 5,000 products of 700 enterprises from China, Japan and South Korea were brought to the platform.

The online exhibition of this fair adopted the panoramic design of the Virtual Reality (VR) venues as the models were built according to the photographs taken at the venues. The Cloud Exhibition Rooms were connected via functional modules including specially-decorated VR exhibitions, enterprise exhibitions and online live streaming, and covered the sections including 24/7 online VR exhibitions, online promotions, online negotiations, connections between suppliers and purchasers, marketing activities and whole-network propagation, thus realizing the transformation from “face-to-face” to “screen-to-screen”.

Simultaneous with building the platform for Online Cloud Exhibitions, numerous online roadshows were also held, including “The Qingdao Seminar on Regional Economic and Trade Collaborations among the Industry and Business Circles of China, Japan and South Korea”, “Live Streaming Roadshows of Renowned Enterprises” and “Online Investment Attraction Promotion Fair”. In addition, numerous offline supporting activities were also held during the same period, including the market of exquisite Japanese and Korean products at Huicheng Road (a road in Chengyang District, Qingdao), the Korean product exhibition at the “International Living Room” of the communications and collaborations between China and South Korea and the Brand-k product exhibition of small and medium-sized Korean enterprises. As this fair came an end, the official websites of Japanese and Korean (Qingdao) Imported Commodities Fair and the functions of the online markets will be further improved, hence creating an online imported commodities fair that never terminates.
