NHU held a Kick Off Meeting for the commissioning of the CLA project at its Shangyu production base. CLA project is an important milestone for NHU to dive deep into the API business, marking a solid step on the way towards becoming a “chemical expert in the pharmaceutical sector”. The successful implementation of the project will help NHU to contribute to the easing of the harsh condition caused by the epidemic, and to the better health and life of mankind.
Mr. Hu Baishan, Vice Chairman and President of NHU called for all managers and employees to devote themselves in the commissioning of the CLA project with higher sense of mission and responsibility at the KO meeting. He stressed our corporate purpose of Elevating Employees and Benefiting the Society and advocated NHUers to contribute to improving health and life of people and securing the stable development of the society.
To ramp up the prevention and control of the epidemic, the National Health Commission recently released the Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (Trial 7th Edition), and nirmatrelvir/ritonavir (sold under the name Paxlovid), which was approved for emergency use by NMPA, was included in the therapy as a new specific anti-coronavirus drug.
Paxlovid is an antiviral compound that co packs nirmatrelvir (150mg) and ritonavir (100mg). The caronic anhydride and azabicyclo produced by NHU in its prenol industrial chain can be used for the production of nirmatrelvir.
