International Duty Free Shop (IDFS), a large-scale global chain of tax-free merchandise sales companies established in 1989, has become the largest international duty-free shop brand in Morocco and even West Africa after more than 30 years of development, providing duty free merchandising services to more than 6 million customers per year.
The global duty-free market has reached 81.8 billion US dollars in 2019. With the gradual recovery of the epidemic situation, the cold winter of the global tourism and travel retail industry will finally pass. The total number of global tourist arrivals and the total global tourism revenue are expected to be 9.185 billion person-times and 4.5 trillion US dollars respectively in 2022, and the global duty-free retail industry will also usher in a huge growth expectation.
In January 2022, IDFS began to deploy the Asian duty-free retail market and chose Kazakhstan in Central Asia as its first stop. The Government of Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development of tourism, and in 2021 Kazakhstan launched 57 investment projects in tourism, including hotels, leisure resorts, B&B, medical rehabilitation complexes, etc., with a total investment of 454.5 billion KZT. Relying on the Kazakhstan rich tourism resources and government support policies, IDFS will surely gain considerable development, opening up a new space for duty-free shopping.
IDFS has gained trust and support of many users since its launch in Kazakhstan 8 months ago. In order to give back to the majority of users and further enhance the experience of using the app, IDFS has carried out a comprehensive upgrade and optimization of the existing app, greatly improving the operation fluency and safety on the basis that all commodities, processes and profit systems have not been changed. Specific optimizations include:
1. It can realize the convenient function of automatic deposit and withdrawal in the upgraded App, allowing users to feel more professional and fast services.
2. On the basis of the original, it has expanded of the agency channel of the three-level distribution, and the agency income has been increased more widely than the old APP.
3. Improving operation fluency and network connection speed.
4. Fixing some minor issues.
In order to protect the rights and interests of users, users can immediately settle all commodity profits in the old App, and unexpired fund products can also be settled in advance according to the percentage of the duration. During the upgrade period, in order to ensure the safety of funds, the user’s withdrawal function will be suspended, while other functions will not be affected. All the data and information of the user in the old app can be seamlessly connected to the new app after the upgrade.
In order to express our gratitude to the users, IDFS will give four levels of rewards according to the accumulated deposits of users after the upgrade work over:
1. VIP4 and below users will get 1% value-added of accumulated investment during the event.
2. VIP5 get 2% value-added of accumulated investment during the event.
3. VIP6 get 3% value-added of accumulated investment during the event.
4. VIP7 get 5% value-added of accumulated investment during the event.
