Luca Mameli, or ITALUKE as he is popularly referred to, is currently driven by a gripping desire that he is committed to achieving since his first trophy during the PlayStation 3 era. The Twitch streamer has a dream of being the number one hunter of PlayStation trophies, a revered position that so few have been able to achieve.
For those who might not be aware, PlayStation trophies are the equivalent of Xbox achievements. The trophies feature was introduced into the PlayStation system through its 2.40 update. According to the definition, “Trophies are a form of reward that players can obtain for in-game accomplishments, such as beating a certain level, collecting a number of items, etc.”
While one might be tempted to dismiss the concept of hunting for trophies, it doesn’t change the fact that it is seen as a bragging right in the gaming community. Besides, earning platinum trophies in some selected games entitles the winner to exclusive benefits like a PS4 theme. What’s more, hunting for trophies adds an extra level of excitement to most games.
Currently, the record of the most PlayStation platinum trophies won by an individual, as at 25th August 2022, is held by Alex Assorin a.k.a. ViensDanser (France). Alex achieved this record by winning a whopping 5,862 trophies, which beats the previous record set at 1,857 trophies.
