Award-winning attorney praised for ‘stand-up skills and courtroom cool’
The Dallas-based litigation boutique Burns Charest LLP has named Chase Hilton as a partner in the 40-attorney firm nationally recognized for its work in antitrust litigation, commercial litigation and energy law.
“Having been to multiple jury trials with Chase, I can attest to his stand-up skills and courtroom cool,” says firm co-founding partner Daniel Charest. “Chase has taken the next level into running cases and developing business opportunities, so we are thrilled have him join the partnership.”
Since joining the firm in 2021, Mr. Hilton has played a key role in securing multimillion-dollar verdicts involving business disputes and oil and gas matters. He currently is directing a federal class action alleging that international money transfer providers Western Union, MoneyGram, Dolex and other companies unlawfully violated the protected personal information of millions of consumers during the past decade. Mr. Hilton also serves in key roles in other cases for the firm and its clients.
Prior to joining Burns Charest, Mr. Hilton served for several years with the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office as lead and co-lead counsel on numerous jury trials while maintaining an active trial docket.
“This is a great honor for me, and I appreciate the guidance and confidence shown by the other partners that led to this decision,” says Mr. Hilton. “We have a depth of experience and resources that few firms of our size can match, and I am excited for the future.”
Mr. Hilton earned his law degree with honors from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, serving as managing editor of the SMU Law Review. He has been named to the “Ones to Watch” list for young attorneys by the Best Lawyers in America guide and featured among the Lawdragon 500 “Next Generation” list.
Burns Charest LLP is a thriving boutique litigation firm of experienced, respected attorneys with impressive records representing clients in important and high-profile cases. This work includes serving as co-lead counsel in multi-district litigation, antitrust and class action matters as well as oil and gas royalty disputes, environmental pollution cases, large-scale mass torts and complex commercial litigation.
