Pandemic, inflation & labor shortages make turkey shortage possible
FORT WORTH, TX, October 19, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A turkey shortage across the United States brought on by the lingering Covid pandemic and labor shortages at turkey farms and processing plants may force some families to do without turkey this year.
"We're urging our regular customers to place their orders for our prepared Cajun smoked turkeys early," said Chef Point Bar & Restaurant Co-Owner Paula Nwaeze. The gourmet eatery and bar with locations in Watauga and Colleyville TX has been featured on Guy Fieri's Triple D on Food Network.
"We have been doing prepared turkeys for almost two decades and have excellent relationships with all of our supplies, but I would still recommend getting your order in because some places are certain to run out of birds," urged Nwaeze.
One of the primary benefits of ordering a prepared turkey is that Chef Point does the work while you enjoy more time with loved ones. "We always bring our A-game at Thanksgiving," said Paula Nwaeze, co-owner of Chef Point Bar & Restaurant.
Chef Point started in a gas station in Watauga, Texas because the bank would not give Paula Nwaeze and her husband Chef Franson a loan for a restaurant. They would, however, give a loan for a Conoco gas station with a C-store.
The enterprising couple soon converted part of the store to a small café and named it Chef Point. In the early days, Chef Point started offering mouthwatering Thanksgiving turkeys with all the fixings to help the business grow.
"Fans of our premade Thanksgiving feasts have made ordering from us a part of their Thanksgiving tradition and that has made the holidays our busiest time of year," said Nwaeze.
Chef Point Bar & Restaurant has been preparing turkeys (traditional or Cajun smoked) or baked hams for Thanksgiving pick up for its many fans throughout DFW and offers an array of tasty sides including lobster mac and cheese, cornbread sage stuffing, gravies, mashed potatoes, and its famous bread pudding.
The deadline for placing a Thanksgiving Holiday Menu order is Sunday, November 21, 2021. To place an order, fill out the easy holiday order form on the Chef Point Restaurant website. Pickup will be available from Chef Point Restaurant in Watauga or Colleyville on Wednesday, November 24, between 11 am and 5 pm.," said Nwaeze.
