NEW YORK, NY

Doginal Dogs today launched Doginal Dogs Legends, a premium trading card game built for both collectors and competitive players, and opened preorders for its first edition. Developed over nearly two years, the debut set, Rise of the Pack, features 111 original hand-drawn cards produced to premium physical standards. The game will officially launch at the brand's flagship New York event, DDNYC 2026, this September, with preorders available now while limited supplies last.

Built for Competitive Play

Doginal Dogs Legends is designed first and foremost as a serious competitive game. Players build a 40-card deck, choose from distinct character classes, and combine creatures, spells, and traps into a wide range of decks and playstyles. The company describes a system built with genuine strategic depth and high-level mechanics intended to reward skill, deck-building, and long-term mastery, while remaining approachable for newcomers. Much of the nearly two-year development timeline, the company said, went toward refining that competitive balance.

Premium Materials and Hand-Drawn Art

The game has been produced to premium physical standards, from card stock and finish to packaging. Every one of the 111 cards in Rise of the Pack features original artwork drawn entirely by hand by the core Doginal Dogs team, with no outsourced or automated design. The company has positioned the human-made craftsmanship as central to the product.

"Legends is something our team spent nearly two years building, and every card was drawn by hand," said Christian "Bark" Barker, co-founder of Doginal Dogs. "We set out to make a real competitive game with the depth serious players want, and the quality collectors expect, and to launch it in front of our community at DDNYC."

Collectibility and Rarity

Beyond gameplay, Rise of the Pack is built with collectibility in mind. The 111-card set is distributed across varying rarity tiers, with a limited number of rare and premium cards appearing less frequently, a structure familiar to collectors of established trading card games. With the origin set produced in limited quantities, collector interest ahead of launch has been strong and preorder demand has been high. As with any collectible release, the company noted, the rarer cards in the set are expected to be especially sought after among collectors.

A Digital Companion and a Live Debut

Alongside the physical game, the company confirmed a digital version is in development, with a beta planned and a waitlist open for early access. The physical game will make its official debut at DDNYC 2026, the brand's sold-out flagship event running September 2 to 4 in New York, where attendees will be among the first to play.
