DayNew Launches Revolutionary 360-Degree Support Platform for Healing and Growth After Trauma

DayNew will be available on the App Store, Google Play and as a website on DayNew.com

Today, DayNew, a groundbreaking new company, announces the launch of its tech platform and community, committed to disrupting the way we support people in the hardest moments of their lives. By answering a few initial questions, members receive a free customized roadmap to navigate the bumpy journey of healing after loss, divorce, illness or any trauma. DayNew’s mission is to offer organizational, emotional, and social support with an App and community focused on post-traumatic growth; the idea that we can live a life of meaning and purpose not despite what’s happened to us, but because of it.

Founders Karine Nissim and Eloise Bune were introduced by a mutual friend after unexpectedly losing their respective husbands. As serial entrepreneurs and Founders of VC-backed start-up darlings (DogVacay/Rover, Shmask & Tentrr, Handwriting.io), the self-proclaimed widow sisters knew they could create a better experience for others going through traumatic situations.

Every year, millions of people endure unwanted life-changing events and traumas, resulting in executive functioning impairment and overwhelming feelings of isolation. DayNew’s holistic approach provides personalized support via resource-heavy organization tools, AI-enabled insights for more customized guidance, and strong social features to connect members going through something similar or to harness support from your community.

“We built DayNew knowing that everyone processes grief and trauma differently and in their own time,” said Karine Nissim, Co-Founder of DayNew. “We know firsthand that after trauma, people experience brain fog, feelings of being alone and overwhelmed at the thought of putting the pieces back together. DayNew is like a choose-your-own approach to healing on your own terms and at your own pace. With a customized roadmap and robust support features, DayNew offers direction when the compass is broken.”

Available as both an app and a website, DayNew provides users with a free, user-friendly interface where they can access a wide range of features and services, including:

  • Mood: Users are provided with various metrics to gauge how overwhelmed, emotional, and lonely they’re feeling, leading to actionable steps of self-reflection and growth.
  • AI: DayNew’s AI-enabled insights provide customized guidance based on a variety of factors including trauma type, lifestyle, and age.
  • Prompts: Like therapy homework or life coach tips, Prompts encourage members to express themselves in a Private Journal or publish responses to the Community Journal to help process emotions and connect with others. Journaling and the benefits of emotional processing with therapy-based questions are key to moving forward in the healing journey.
  • Checklist: To combat brain fog and aid in living more functionally, a suggested list of organizational, emotional and social “to-dos” with linked resources helps members navigate the overwhelming amount of coordination and administrative work that comes with loss, illness and divorce.
  • Community: Connect with members of the DayNew community to find others going through similar situations with Find a Buddy. DayNew also provides the necessary tools and resources that allow members to get the support they need from loved ones by offering the ability to create a unique Community Page that lists actionable ways your community can support you.
  • Learn and Grow: DayNew’s Community Journal consists of both helpful content from interdisciplinary experts that focus on the many ways of healing, as well as user-generated shared responses to Prompts from within the DayNew community.
  • Supporter Resources: Despite the best of intentions, people who want to support members can sign up on their Community Page to help in more tangible ways that are needed instead of the traditional flowers and casseroles approach.

“Our goal is to give people all the tools that we needed and more,” said Eloise Bune, Co-Founder of DayNew. “The platform is not just for those who have suffered from trauma and need help but also for the supporters, loved ones, and friends who are struggling to figure out how they can best be of service. We want DayNew to be a supportive, safe community where people can share, be heard, and find friends post-trauma.”

DayNew provides a free customized roadmap for all users looking to begin their post-traumatic growth journey as well as an optional $5 per month subscription where members will get access to an upgraded version of the platform that includes additional features such as profile verification badge, direct messaging through Find a Buddy, access to post comments on the site and more.

Please note for any DayNew first-time or existing members experiencing severe mental health issues or are in a crisis situation, please be aware that the platform is not intended to provide emergency assistance. It is crucial to seek immediate medical attention or contact emergency services for proper support and care.
