iGov Technologies, an employee-owned C5ISR systems integrator and federal IT supplier specializing in delivering mission-centric C5 solutions to government customers, announced that its President and Chief Operating Officer, Mike Tyrrell, has elected to retire on June 30, 2026, after serving as Chief Financial Officer for one year, and President and COO for 20 years. Tyrrell’s career spans over four decades, with nearly 35 years in Federal IT contracting.
“Over the last 20 years at iGov, Mike Tyrrell’s unwavering commitment and focus on strategic planning has resulted in numerous value-add successes for the company,” said Pat Neven, iGov’s Chief Executive Officer. “Under his leadership, iGov has achieved significant revenue growth year after year from both product sales and the services programs. His dedication, industry knowledge and technology experience led him to play a critical role in helping iGov achieve great success over the years,” said Neven.
Tyrrell helped iGov win major management programs with the U.S. Special Operations Command (TACLAN 2, TREX 2, and TREX 3), U.S. Marine Corps (Combat Operations Center [COC], MAGTF Common Handheld [MCH], and Combat Data Network [CDN]), U.S. Air Force (PEITSS TACP-MCS Block 1, PEITSS TACP-MCS Block 2, and Theater Deployable Communications – Military Satellite Communications [TDC - MILSATCOM]) and U.S. Army (Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services [RS3]), among other agencies, totaling nearly $2 billion in revenues for iGov over the last 12 years.
Tyrrell also helped promote the growth of the Product Sales division by contributing to the company’s wins on several major large contracts, including NASA SEWP V, Army ITES 4H, Department of Homeland Security FirstSource I and FirstSource II, NIH CIO-CS GWAC, and SPAWAR Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance [ISR] MAC and Command and Control [C2] MAC, among other vehicles. These contracts provided the path to enormous revenue growth in the Product Sales division.
“I feel very fortunate to have worked with such a dedicated and talented group of professionals here at iGov,” said Tyrrell. “It has been a great honor to serve our federal government customers and work with so many excellent OEM partners over the years. I’m grateful for the trust Pat Neven and the Board of Directors have placed in me and for the opportunity to have played a part in iGov’s success, and I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished together with our superb team of employees. Though I'm departing from an active role leading the company, I'm excited about iGov's future and will be announcing my successor very soon. And I look forward to continuing to serve iGov as a Board Director upon retirement.”
The transition to a new President for iGov sets the stage for the company’s next phase while continuing its focus on being a strategic, efficient and technology-driven enterprise focused on the future for its federal government customers and OEM partners.
