Earlier today, Rowarth Design Ltd finally announced the release of The Silent Treatment ST-2 Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Tongue Trainer Device – it’s new Obstructive Sleep Apnoea solution, which has been in development since 2018. The main aim is to control the tongue to prevent it drifting back during sleep to block the airway…. but it does so, with a difference.
Michael Rowarth, Inventor and Managing Director at Rowarth Design Ltd, says: “We wanted to try something new with The Silent Treatment Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Tongue Trainer Device. Anyone familiar with the obstructive sleep apnoea solution market will probably have noticed how everyone else seems to achieve the tongue position correction by forcing the lower jaw forward or applying suction to the end of the tongue.. This is a problem because the lower jaw naturally resists being forced forward, placing strain on the jaw joint. Over time this will permanently damage the jaw joint resulting in severe pain. Also, the device will use the front teeth for leverage , resulting in the teeth becoming loose over time. The tongue sucking devices will result in painful blisters on the end of the tongue.”
So as a welcome breath of fresh air, The Silent Treatment ST-2 Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Tongue Trainer Device will instead utilize hundreds of tiny spurs which engage with the papillae on the top surface of the tongue to effectively and harmlessly prevent the tongue from moving back to block the airway.. Rowarth Design Ltd chose to make this move because they could see that the other devices on the market were harming the users in a totally unacceptable way..
