LOS ANGELES - May 25, 2022 - (Newswire.com)
Los Angeles Trial Lawyers' Charities (LATLC) with Orange County Trial Lawyers' Charities (OCTLC) are thrilled to announce that they will be bringing smiles to the faces of special needs children at the 2022 Great Tryke Giveaway with SoCal Trykers. Taking place on Saturday, June 4 in the Steelcraft Parking Lot at Long Beach, the Great Tryke Giveaway will see attorneys from law firms across both Los Angeles and Orange County presenting 33 children with their own specially fitted adapted tricycles, with a parade to follow in front of family and friends to celebrate their new-found freedom.
This year, 25 children from Los Angeles County and 8 from Orange County with diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Arthrogryposis, and Muscular Dystrophy will be receiving their trykes. Each tryke is valued at $1000, and the funds for these were raised during the year at LATLC's events, including their recent 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.
One of the children who will be receiving their new tryke on the day is young Emmanuel Periera, who received his first tryke from LATLC in 2017. Despite outgrowing his tryke and now unable to use it, his father says that Emmanuel loves his tryke so much that he still sits on it.
The Great Tryke Giveaway will be a fun-filled day for everyone with family-friendly activities such as face-painting, art projects, and gifts for guests, including the LATLC mascot, Lovey, plush toys. Volunteers will also be assembling toiletry kits for the homeless on-site.
"The Great Tryke Giveaway is one of LATLC's most important events, and we are glad to have OCTLC joining us once again this year," says LATLC's 2022 President, Steve Vartazarian. "Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces as they ride their new trykes for the first time is something you never forget, and it makes us so proud to be able to make a difference in their lives."
The Great Tryke Giveaway will be held in the Steelcraft Parking Lot at 3745 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach from 8:30 am-12 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
