ARLINGTON, VA / ACCESS Newswire / January 30, 2026 / Science and Medicine Group (SMG) and AuntMinnie.com have launched two new series of podcasts focused on women's imaging and ultrasound topics.
Available today, the inaugural episode (link here) for the Women's Imaging MinnieCast series features a wide-ranging video interview with Amy Patel, MD, on "radvocacy" and how radiologists can make a difference.
In addition, the first episode in the Ultrasound MinnieCast series includes a conversation with Richard Barr, MD, PhD, on developments in reimbursement for contrast-enhanced ultrasound. It will be available on February 7.
Both of these new MinnieCast series will follow a biweekly publishing schedule on Fridays.
"These podcasts are a new way for us to discuss current issues that affect women's imaging, ultrasound, and the greater radiology community," said MinnieCast host and AuntMinnie Associate Editor Amerigo Allegretto. "We're going to cover the latest in breast imaging, interventional techniques, advancements in ultrasound, AI, practice management, and policy. I'm excited to discuss these topics and more with today and tomorrow's leaders in medical imaging. Everyone has an interesting story, and I look forward to helping imagers tell theirs."
The new podcasts will be available as part of the AuntMinnie Podcast Network, which will include MinnieCast podcasts produced by AuntMinnie editors as well as third-party podcasts such as Keeping up with the Radiologists from Saurabh Jha, MD, of the University of Pennsylvania and The Invisible Force, a MRI safety podcast produced by MRI safety expert Tobias Gilk. The first two episodes of The Invisible Force were released on January 27.
"We've created these two new MinnieCasts and our AuntMinnie Podcast Network in response to growing interest among our members in video and audio content that report on the key issues facing the medical imaging community today," said AuntMinnie Editor in Chief Erik L. Ridley. "Additional podcast series are also planned for the future."
The MinnieCasts and other future podcasts can be found on the AuntMinnie Podcast Network and also at Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
