ISLAMORADA, FL / ACCESS Newswire / September 9, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to honor Samantha Santiago-Paez, JD, for her distinguished contributions to financial services compliance, regulatory strategy and consulting. Ms. Santiago-Paez's recognition reflects a career devoted to helping financial organizations navigate complex regulatory environments while building compliance programs that support responsible growth.

Ms. Santiago-Paez is the founder and chief executive officer of Bastt Consulting LLC, which she established in 2024. The firm provides specialized compliance support to financial organizations, with an emphasis on maintaining close client relationships and offering practical regulatory guidance. Her approach deliberately favors controlled growth over rapid expansion, allowing her team to remain accessible and closely engaged with the businesses it serves.
Bastt Consulting offers Fractional Chief Compliance Officer services for organizations that need experienced compliance leadership without maintaining a full-time CCO. Its services are designed for registered investment advisers and broker-dealers operating within SEC and FINRA regulatory frameworks. The firm also provides interim compliance leadership during periods of transition and regulatory filing assistance to help organizations maintain accurate, timely and complete submissions.
In an interview with Marquis Who's Who, Ms. Santiago-Paez credited a fellow compliance professional with encouraging her to establish her own consulting business. "She was the biggest influence, encouraging me to believe I could do it and urging me to take the step on my own," she said. The two had worked together while Ms. Santiago-Paez served in CCO positions, and that encouragement helped give her the confidence to pursue entrepreneurship. She also described her career as a steady progression through compliance-focused positions that expanded her knowledge, leadership skills and ability to communicate with senior management.
Ms. Santiago-Paez's experience includes serving as chief executive officer and chief compliance officer of GA PCCV BD LLC, formerly Neon Money LLC, as well as chief compliance officer of Neon Money Club. Earlier, she held chief compliance officer positions with EFG International AG, EFG Asset Management and Creand Securities, formerly Beta Capital Securities. Her career has also included leadership and advisory roles with UBS, KPMG and AXA.
Speaking with Marquis Who's Who, she said that one of the most meaningful professional accomplishments occurred while leading compliance at EFG Capital International Corp., where she headed the organization's first all-women compliance team. She advocated for compensation adjustments that brought team members closer to market rates, including a significant salary increase for one colleague. The experience reinforced her belief that effective leadership includes advocating for the professionals entrusted to one's care.
Ms. Santiago-Paez's path into compliance began while she was working for a financial adviser during college. After graduating from law school, a mentor encouraged her to gain direct experience on a New York City sales floor before transitioning into legal and compliance responsibilities. She later joined UBS, where she conducted compliance examinations across domestic and international offices. After spending time away from the company, UBS invited her back to help revamp its international onboarding process, further developing her expertise in know-your-customer procedures and risk management.
Her professional recognition includes being named among the Most Influential Women by Business Magazine in 2025 and being featured in Victory Magazine. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and authored "Acting Contracts Within ‘The Business'" in 2007. Beyond her professional work, she supports the Girl Scouts of Southwest Florida.
Ms. Santiago-Paez credits her husband with helping her channel her ambitions and focus her professional energy. During her interview, she recalled his encouragement to recognize her potential and concentrate her efforts, an influence she considers important to her growth as both an executive and entrepreneur. "Someone else saw my potential and encouraged me to channel that energy, making me realize I could be unstoppable," she said.
Looking ahead, Ms. Santiago-Paez plans to continue growing Bastt Consulting thoughtfully, eventually establishing a small office where she can meet local clients while preserving a collaborative, close-knit culture. Her longer-term vision includes building the firm to a level of stability that would allow a managing partner to assume greater responsibility as she gradually steps back from daily operations.
"Samantha Santiago-Paez exemplifies the caliber of innovative compliance leader and entrepreneur Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "Her ability to combine legal knowledge, financial services experience and a highly personalized approach to regulatory compliance reflects the kind of leadership organizations need in an increasingly complex regulatory environment." Through its recognition of Ms. Santiago-Paez, Marquis Who's Who celebrates a professional whose work continues to help financial firms strengthen compliance, manage change and pursue sustainable growth.
