Rachel Lyons grew up around coffee lovers. In her childhood, she was exposed to mild strength brews and quickly discovered which she liked and disliked. She worked for the Starbucks Corporation in various capacities for eight years as an adult, in search of some of America's best coffee.
A crossroads soon appeared for Rachel while she was studying nursing for one of the largest food chains in the world. She finally decided to follow her heart after dealing with the challenges of self-actualization in the medical field. As a 34-year-old, Rachel began the journey of selling freshly brewed coffee, which became Lyons Brew. With over 90 brands of independent coffee shops and products, you can never have too many choices for coffee. French, Columbian, Indonesian and Ethiopian competition-grade roasts are served at the retailer.
In addition to offering recyclable Lyons Brew cups, the brand encourages its consumers to compost leftover coffee grounds.
Partnerships with Zoe Communications have already been forged in response to Kendra Scott of Lakeside Mall of Louisiana, Judy Pie Bakery, and Afro Soca Love Dallas are among the early success stories.
Lyons, who is at the helm of a brand new company while also maintaining a medical career, finds it challenging to grow and develop it. She perseveres through entrepreneurship because of her passion for coffee.
