Kaival Brands ($KAVL) and KMS gear up for anticipated revenue growth by hiring former Swisher International VP of Sales

Stocks gyrated on Friday but headed for a down week as worries over continued rate hikes persisted.

Tuesday’s consumer inflation report could hold more sway for markets and even help set the central bank’s agenda. The consumer price index is unlikely to impact the Fed’s decision to raise rates by a widely anticipated half percentage point Wednesday. But it could influence the post-meeting tone, both in the Federal Open Market Committee’s statement and in how Fed Chairman Jerome Powell describes the central bank’s battle with inflation at the end of the two-day meeting.

Stocks that performed well last week include Campbell Soup (NYSE: CPB) which added 5.2% and hit a 52-week high Friday. Hershey (NYSE: HSY) added 2.7% after UBS analyst Cody Ross upgraded the candy giant to buy from neutral on Wednesday, predicting its strong performance in 2022 could extend into the next year. Dexcom (NASDAQ: DXCM) gained 3.1% last week through Friday’s opening. The stock is more favored on Wall Street, with 65% of analysts giving it a buy rating with an average upside of 2.5%. Evergy (NYSE: EVRG), a Kansas City-based utility company was up 6.1%.
