Pure Lithium Corporation, a disruptive, vertically integrated lithium metal battery technology company, today announces that Professor Donald R. Sadoway will be stepping down from his full time role as Chief Scientific Officer and Board Director to dedicate his full-time efforts to the Sadoway Labs Foundation—a Boston based nonprofit research organization he founded to advance breakthrough electrochemical solutions for deep decarbonization.
"We are thrilled for Don as he embarks on this next chapter of radical innovation," said Pure Lithium Founder and CEO Emilie Bodoin. "Having served alongside him as a founding director of Sadoway Labs Foundation, I have seen firsthand his passion and vision at the frontier of early-stage electrochemical R&D. We are deeply grateful for his contributions to Pure Lithium as we prepare to enter the commercialization phase of our battery technology."
Prof. Sadoway added: "I’m immensely proud of the scientific and technical progress we’ve made at Pure Lithium. The battery platform and underlying technologies are now poised for the leap to commercial production. I am grateful to Emilie and the Pure Lithium team for supporting my dedication to foundational research, and I look forward to focusing my energy to advancing extreme electrochemistry through the Sadoway Labs Foundation."
Pure Lithium Director, former Massachusetts Governor, William F. Weld said: “We are very grateful to Professor Sadoway for his role in developing and advancing the Company’s next-generation lithium metal battery technology and we wish him the best of success going forward. We are excited about the next stage of the company’s evolution under Founder and CEO Emilie Bodoin’s leadership as we move toward full commercial production.”
Pure Lithium completed the majority of its development phase in Boston. In July, the company announced its plan to move to Chicago to transition from pure R&D to prototyping and scaling up for commercial production.
About Pure Lithium
Pure Lithium is a disruptive lithium metal battery technology company led by inventor and lithium expert, CEO Emilie Bodoin.
