Under a multi-year Blanket Purchase Agreement, SES Space & Defense will provide multi-orbit, multi-band commercial satellite services to USEUCOM leveraging an agnostic SATCOM network
SES’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SES Space & Defense, has been awarded a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) through Space Systems Command (SSC) with the help of the United States Space Force’s Commercial Satellite Communications Office (CSCO) with a ceiling value of USD 117 million in support of the United States European Command (USEUCOM) delivering multi-orbit, multi-band satellite capabilities.
To meet enduring and emerging mission requirements in the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR), SES Space & Defense partnered with several industry-leading players to provide managed service using UHF, L, C, X, Ku and Mil-Ka bands in the USEUCOM Region. The company will also provide Risk Management Framework-accredited commercial teleport and terrestrial transport backhaul services to Government Entry Points (GEP). Under the BPA, SES Space & Defense will deliver program management support, bandwidth management, network monitoring, and the opportunity to procure ancillary equipment such as remote Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs).
“This BPA will accelerate access to acquiring COMSATCOM services for the DoD in the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility region,” said David Fields, President and CEO, SES Space & Defense. “To support the DoD needs we have assembled a team comprised of the best in the industry to deliver multi-band, multi-orbit COMSATCOM capabilities that provide alternate SATCOM paths for greater network resiliency and flexibility required to achieve mission success.”
