New York Road Runners Launches 2026 TCS New York City Marathon Sweepstakes

Limited-time promotion celebrates the iconic five-borough marathon course’s 50th anniversary ahead of milestone 2026 race

New York Road Runners (NYRR), the nonprofit that “runs” New York City producing 60 annual adult and youth races including the TCS New York City Marathon, today launched its Ultimate 2026 TCS New York City Marathon Race Entry Sweepstakes where 50 lucky people will win entries into the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon; open until Sunday, Nov. 9, 11:59 p.m. ET.

This year’s sweepstakes celebrates the 50 years that the New York City Marathon’s iconic 26.2-mile course has traveled through all five boroughs—starting in Staten Island, traversing the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, and crossing through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx—before ending at its famed Central Park finish line. To honor this milestone, New York Road Runners is giving U.S. runners the chance to win the ultimate marathon experience.

Five lucky sweepstakes winners will claim the sweepstakes’ grand prize, which includes two complimentary entries to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, a two-night deluxe stay at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, for a luxurious pre- and post-race experience, a $1,000 Mastercard gift card, two New Balance marathon jackets, two premium NYRR x Runna Marathon Program training subscriptions, and four Finish Line Grandstand tickets for friends and family to spectate on race day.

The 40 runner-up winners will receive one non-transferable, complimentary entry to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, and a premium NYRR x Runna Marathon Program training subscription.

There are two entry methods for the sweepstakes: A free method and through a donation to New York Road Runners. All donations support New York Road Runners’ mission of transforming the health and well-being of communities through inclusive and accessible running experiences, empowering all to achieve their potential.

The winners will be randomly selected Wednesday, Nov. 12, and announced on the sweepstakes page HERE by Nov. 14.

About the New York City Marathon

Initially run in 1970 as four laps of Central Park with 55 finishers, the New York City Marathon left the park and entered the five boroughs for the first time in 1976 to celebrate the U.S. bicentennial. It was a landmark move that set the standard for the modern marathon event. Today, the TCS New York City Marathon brings together 55,000+ participants and two million spectators for the best day of the year, in the best city in the world.
