Aerin Medical Appoints Lucas Buchanan as Independent Board Director

MedTech veteran brings deep financial, strategic and commercial expertise

Aerin Medical Inc., a leader in minimally invasive solutions for chronic nasal conditions, today announced the appointment of Lucas Buchanan to its Board of Directors. Mr. Buchanan will serve as an independent director, bringing important expertise and strategic perspective to guide Aerin’s significant value creation.

Mr. Buchanan brings more than 25 years of proven leadership in medical device commercialization, operations, and finance. Most recently he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Silk Road Medical, where he led the company from founding through its IPO in 2019, and then its $1.3 billion acquisition by Boston Scientific in 2024.

His background includes investing, finance and commercial roles at The Vertical Group, Impax Laboratories, Medtronic and Ernst & Young. He holds a BA in Economics from Duke University and an MBA in Health Care Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
