The addition of Davis, a seasoned legal technology executive with a track record of scaling innovative and customer-focused products, comes during a period of exponential growth for the company. Last month, LegalOn announced its $50 million Series E, led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives (Goldman Sachs), bringing the company’s total funding to $200 million. Over the past year, LegalOn quadrupled its business in the US and UK and surpassed 7,000 customers globally.

The latest investment, combined with LegalOn’s recent expansion into matter management, reflects the company’s dedication to helping its customers deliver better business outcomes by eliminating the tedious legal work that slows business down. By grounding AI in legal expertise and content, LegalOn ensures the accuracy required for legal work, enabling legal teams to accelerate contract review, simplify legal intake and ensure compliance.

“Vanessa deeply understands the challenges that legal teams face and how technology can make their work easier,” said Daniel Lewis, Global CEO of LegalOn. “Her experience as a lawyer and technology leader will help us deliver even more value to customers as we expand our product capabilities and support legal teams around the world.”

Rather than selling broad solutions that only lightly address a subset of challenges or massive quantities of features that typically go unused, LegalOn is focused on delivering right-sized contracting solutions, from intake to completion, based on a company’s actual business needs and pain points.

“I’m thrilled to join LegalOn at such an exciting time,” Davis said. “Legal teams are under more pressure than ever to deliver faster results without compromising accuracy or quality, and LegalOn’s technology is uniquely positioned to help them succeed. I look forward to building on the company’s strong foundation and bringing new innovations to market that drive efficiency, accuracy and compliance at every stage of the legal workflow.”

Davis has a deep history of designing and delivering solutions that make a measurable impact on customers’ daily work, resulting in topline growth and high customer satisfaction. She comes to LegalOn from PPLSI, where she built and scaled the product management function, contributing to positive growth at a legacy platform. Previously, Davis led product management at Litera Microsystems, creating and evangelizing the product vision for two newly acquired B2B SaaS applications. She also held leadership positions at One Legal and LegalZoom. Davis has a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Dartmouth College.
