HouseShares Launches Fractional Real Estate Investing Platform

By: Get News

The innovative tech startup begins early signups for its next generation real estate investing platform.

HouseShares, a proptech startup making it easier for retail investors to invest in real estate properties, has just launched its online platform to the public. The initial launch aims to serve theAsian Pacific market and is now accepting signups for early access to the live version of the exciting new platform.

The Bali, Indonesia company is bringing real estate investing to the masses and making international property investment easy. Fractional property ownership has become an increasingly popular trend and HouseShares aims to make this possible in the ever-growing Asian markets.

Founders Jonathan Frechin and Kevin Smetana started the company in early 2022, in order to address a growing demand amongst Gen Z and millennials to invest in real estate, something most everyday investors simply cannot afford.

HouseShares enables you to invest in shares of high-yielding properties for as little as $1 per share. Co-founder Jonathan Frechin explained that HouseShares currently plans to offer

high-demand vacation rentals throughout Bali and then looks to expand to other popular tourist destinations in Indonesia starting in 2023. From there, the plan is to expand to additional countries throughout theAsian Pacific region.

Eventually, Houseshares plans to become an all-encompassing real estate platform where users can own and trade shares of numerous income generating properties from around the world, Frechin said.

It's an increasingly competitive market, with startups such as Lofty.ai, Fintor, and Landa all vying for an early position in the democratizing of real estate.

Frechin explains that HouseShares differs from its competitors in a few key ways. While almost all the competition is focused on the U.S. housing market, HouseShares is looking to theAsian market with its initial focus on Indonesia.

Houseshares wants to make real estate investment easy and simple for investors. All properties available from the platform will have property management companies to oversee maintenance, bookings, and daily operations. That way, you can own shares of numerous properties without the headaches that often come with traditional property ownership, Frechin explained.

While more competitors will continue to emerge, Frechin remains confident in HouseShares ability to provide a highly competitive platform that will stand out from the crowd. It’s still early in the proptech niche, and with over $350 trillion in global real estate value, there is no shortage of opportunity to revolutionize the world’s biggest asset class, Frechin said.
