Anthony Hucker, Chairman and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, said, “The holidays are meant to be a time of warmth, love and connection, but for many families, it’s also a time of uncertainty about how they’ll provide meals for their loved ones. No one should have to face that kind of hardship, especially during a season built around togetherness. As a neighborhood grocer, we have a responsibility to uplift our neighbors, bring hope to those who are struggling and embrace the power of compassion and community. By sharing meals and moments of kindness, we remind our neighbors that they’re not alone. Together, we can make this season a little brighter for everyone.”

The grocer is continuing its Gratitude Month community donation program into December, encouraging customers, who are able, to embrace the spirit of giving by donating $1, $5 or rounding up their grocery bills at the register to help local Feeding America partner food banks nourish families in need this holiday season. Select Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores are also offering $10 and $15 pre-packed donation bags filled with nonperishable items, providing another simple way to give back. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps food banks provide nourishment, comfort and hope to neighbors facing hunger during the holidays and beyond.

Lauren Biedron, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partners, at Feeding America, said, “Across the country this holiday season, families are gathering to share meals, gratitude and hope. Yet, tens of millions of people are facing hunger. We are thankful for partners like Southeastern Grocers and its community partners who are supporting thousands of families with a nourishing meal. This generosity can help build a future where everyone has food on the table and hope to spread around.”

In the spirit of bringing families together around the table, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie are also helping customers make the most of their holiday budgets. This season, customers can save more with exclusive in-store deals and a new variety of holiday Price Hold products — helping families save over 20% on average and making seasonal shopping budget-friendly and hassle-free.

Customers can also maximize their savings through the grocers’ award-winning Rewards program, which provides access to weekly deals and allows shoppers to earn points on every trip that can be redeemed for money off groceries. For added convenience, customers can order their holiday feast online, with grocery delivery available at select locations. Visit shop.harveyssupermarkets.com/thanksgiving or shop.winndixie.com/thanksgiving to order online and enjoy the same great savings and promotions available in stores.

Additionally, customers can make holiday entertaining easy and affordable with the grocer’s Holiday Meal Deal for $39.99, feeding three to five people. Available through New Year’s, the meal includes a chef-carved ham or ready-to-carve turkey, a 12-pack of King’s Hawaiian rolls and four sides – choose from homestyle or cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes or gravy. Customers can simply look for the holiday meal display in the deli department of their neighborhood store for simple, stress-free entertaining.

All Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery and liquor stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, to give associates a well-deserved day of rest with family and friends as a thank you for their diligent work and compassion displayed for their communities this year. All stores will close as usual on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and reopen for regular business hours on Friday, Nov. 28.
