Frazier Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce that Stephen Krupa has joined the firm’s Growth Buyout team as an Executive in Residence. In this role, Mr. Krupa will support Frazier’s investment professionals with diligence efforts and sector insights, while also advising portfolio leadership teams on operational performance, strategic growth initiatives, and financial execution.

Mr. Krupa brings over 30 years of experience spanning executive leadership and financial services in healthcare technology. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of HealthEdge from 2016 to 2025. During his tenure, he grew revenue to over $400 million and led the company through two successful exits. Prior to HealthEdge, Mr. Krupa spent almost two decades as a healthcare venture capital partner at the Psilos Group, where he invested in several transformational healthcare technology companies, including Active Health Management (acquired by Aetna), Definity Health (acquired by UnitedHealthcare), and Extend Health (acquired by Towers Watson). Earlier in his career, he worked at Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he advised on strategic acquisitions in the healthcare sector.

“Steve’s ability to scale and lead HealthEdge from a growth-stage company into a market-leading healthcare technology business with a multi-billion-dollar exit, by building a high-performance culture and executing a customer-centric strategy, is exactly the kind of track record we look for in an Executive in Residence,” said Ryan Lucero, General Partner at Frazier Healthcare.

“He brings a disciplined, data-driven approach to value creation that is deeply aligned with how we partner with management teams,” added Clarissa Berman, Principal at Frazier Healthcare.

“Frazier has an exceptional reputation for partnering with management teams to build enduring healthcare businesses, and I have long admired their disciplined investment approach,” said Steve Krupa. “I am excited to work alongside the team to help identify compelling opportunities in healthcare technology and contribute to value creation across the portfolio.”
