By clicking on the AI icon, service advisors and shop managers can now rewrite technician notes into customer-friendly language on the Today's Vehicle Page (TVP), including on the:

AutoVitals trained Otto on proprietary educational videos that explain over fifty common service needs. Each rewrite follows built-in guidelines to:
Clearly explain why a condition matters
Address safety, performance, and vehicle longevity
Avoid alarmist or high-pressure language
Before rewriting a note, Otto will take into context:
Existing text in the notes field
Section name
Status name
Topic name
This ensures the rewritten note is accurate and reflects the technician's intent.
For example, if a technician enters "cracked" for a serpentine belt, Otto will generate a clear explanation describing what the belt does, why cracks matter, and what could happen if the issue is left unaddressed.
If your service advisor or manager wants to make changes to the Otto Note, they can:
Revert to the original technician note
Edit the rewritten note
Regenerate a new note using our AI

Built with Data Security in Mind
Otto Notes was designed with data privacy and security as a top priority. Only the technician note selected for rewriting, along with the section name, status name, and topic name, is sent to AutoVitals' secure environment. The system never shares:

Customer data remains protected, and no information is used to train external AI models.
