Federman & Sherwood Investigates Clackamas Community College for Data Breach

The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Clackamas Community College with respect to their recent data breach. On January 19, 2024, Clackamas Community College detected some irregular activity on a small number of computer systems and quickly determined that an unauthorized third-party gained access to their internal network and encrypted some of their files. Clackamas Community College launched an investigation in consultation with federal law enforcement and outside experts specializing in cybersecurity incidents. The investigation ultimately found that some files from their data server were copied from the network during the incident. On February 29, 2024, Clackamas Community College learned that the files contained the following information: individuals’ name and Social Security number.
