A compelling new British supernatural thriller is entering pre-production, bringing together psychological suspense, historical mystery and supernatural horror in what promises to be one of the most ambitious independent film projects currently in development.

Titled Deliverance, the feature film stars entrepreneur, producer and actor Marco Robinson and marks the feature writing and directing debut of Tracy Hudson Foreman, whose original screenplay has already generated significant interest during early development.

Set against the shadowy streets of 1950s London, Deliverance follows the story of a once legendary detective who has walked away from policing after the devastating loss of his wife.

Once regarded as one of Scotland Yard’s finest investigators, the detective has become haunted by grief, isolated from the world and questioning whether life still holds any purpose.

Just as he reaches breaking point, London is shaken by a series of horrific murders unlike anything authorities have ever encountered.

The victims appear to have no connection.

The crime scenes defy logic.

Every clue leads nowhere.

As the investigation unfolds, the detective uncovers a terrifying truth.

The killer is not simply a murderer.

He is a demonic time traveller who moves between Victorian England and the 1950s, building a sinister following through a satanic cult while carrying out ritualistic killings across different eras.

Forced to confront a reality that challenges everything he has ever believed, the detective must race against time to stop a force that exists beyond reason before becoming its next victim himself.

For Marco Robinson, the project represents another step in an expanding career across television, publishing and feature filmmaking.

Known internationally as the creator and host of Channel 4’s Get A House For Free, Marco Robinson has built a reputation for combining commercial storytelling with emotionally driven narratives. His work spans business documentaries, television, publishing and feature films, including productions that have reached the Top 2 on Netflix. His recent projects include START OVER, currently in pre-production as a feature film, the accompanying television documentary series, The Tequila Empire and How to Build a Billion Dollar Brand.

Now, Marco Robinson is bringing that experience into Deliverance, both as a lead actor and as a creative mentor to first-time writer and director Tracy Hudson Foreman.

“This story immediately stood out because it isn’t just about solving murders,” says Marco Robinson. “It’s about grief, redemption, faith and what happens when someone who has spent a lifetime believing only in facts is forced to confront something that exists beyond human understanding.”

For Tracy Hudson Foreman, Deliverance represents years of creative development finally coming to life.

As a first-time feature writer and director, Tracy Hudson Foreman has worked closely with Marco Robinson throughout the development process, refining the screenplay, expanding the world of the story and preparing the production for its next stage.

“Every great thriller needs more than scares,” says Tracy Hudson Foreman. “It needs characters people genuinely care about. At its heart, Deliverance is about a man who has lost everything and is unexpectedly given one final purpose.”

The film blends detective noir, supernatural horror and psychological suspense while exploring themes of loss, sacrifice, destiny and redemption.

Its unique premise—placing an ageing detective against an adversary capable of manipulating time itself—creates a fresh take on both the detective and horror genres.

With pre-production now underway, casting has officially commenced as the production team assembles a cast capable of bringing Victorian London and post-war Britain vividly to life.

Production is expected to feature richly detailed period design, practical effects and cinematic storytelling that pays homage to classic British thrillers while introducing a contemporary supernatural twist.

Industry observers note that independent genre films continue to perform strongly with international audiences, particularly those combining historical settings with elevated psychological storytelling.

For Marco Robinson, however, the project’s success will ultimately depend on its emotional core.

“People remember stories because of the characters, not the spectacle,” he says. “If audiences leave the cinema talking about this detective and the choices he had to make, then we’ve achieved what we set out to do.”

With a powerful script, an ambitious creative vision and a growing production team behind it, Deliverance is shaping up to be an exciting new addition to Britain’s independent film landscape.

As casting continues and development gathers momentum, Marco Robinson and Tracy Hudson Foreman are confident that Deliverance will deliver far more than supernatural thrills. They aim to create a story that explores grief, hope, courage and the timeless battle between light and darkness—one that lingers with audiences long after the credits roll.
