The shooter, Robert Dorgan, is also known as Roberta Esposito since undergoing sex reassignment surgery in 2020. The event took place at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena during a game honoring high school players. Dorgan was targeting his family at the massacre. Killed in the episode were Dorgan’s ex-wife, Rhonda Dorgan, and college-age son, Aidan. Others injured were Rhonda’s parents, Linda Dorgan and Gerald Dorgan, and Thomas Geruso, a family friend, who all remain at a Rhode Island hospital in critical condition. According to Dorgan’s daughter from another relationship, the shooting was not random; it was very specific. The carnage ended when a good Samaritan stopped Dorgan.
