-- The Veterinary Eye Center – Pennsylvania (VEC PA) will open its new ophthalmology - exclusive practice at 3620 Chapel Road in Newtown Square on June 29, bringing specialized veterinary eye care to pets and families throughout Delaware County and the greater Philadelphia area.
As a practice dedicated exclusively to veterinary ophthalmology, VEC PA provides advanced medical and surgical eye care for pets with conditions ranging from cataracts and glaucoma to corneal injuries and chronic eye disease. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostics and treatment options designed specifically for ophthalmic care, allowing pets in the region access to high-level specialty eye care close to home. VEC PA will offer online booking for clients, along with same-day and next-day appointments for urgent cases.

Veterinary Eye Center – Pennsylvania will be led by Medical Director and board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist, Dr. Connie Yeh. Originally from New York City, Dr. Yeh completed her ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University before returning to the East Coast to practice at a large multi-specialty hospital in Delaware beginning in 2016. Dr. Yeh also gained broad clinical experience through a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. After nearly a decade in specialty practice, she is excited to launch Veterinary Eye Center - Pennsylvania and bring VEC’s advanced ophthalmology care to Newtown Square.
Collaboration with primary care veterinarians is central to VEC PA’s approach to patient care. The team is committed to supporting general practice veterinarians by providing timely communication, thorough case management and seamless referral coordination, ensuring an exceptional experience for both pet owners and referring colleagues. The Veterinary Eye Center features four exam rooms and a dedicated operating suite equipped with advanced surgical tools, including specialized cataract surgery technology and dedicated anesthesia equipment.
"When something is wrong with your pet's eyes, it's scary. They can't tell you what they're feeling, and you're trying to figure out if it's serious," says Dr. Yeh. "I want pet owners to walk into Veterinary Eye Center and feel like they're finally somewhere with answers. What I'm most excited about is bringing the kind of advanced eye care that saves vision, relieves pain, and gives families peace of mind, right here in the Newtown Square community."
VEC PA is now scheduling consultations to begin on June 29. To request a consultation, pet owners can visit www.vecpa.com or contact the team at info@vecpa.com or 267-486-3937. No referral is required to schedule an appointment.
