Serving as Medical Director since 2024, Dr. Thakkar brings over a decade of clinical experience and a passion for advancing safe, high-quality anesthesia services. Board-certified and fellowship-trained in pediatric anesthesiology, she provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients of all ages across New Jersey.

Dr. Thakkar’s clinical philosophy centers on listening to patients and their families, understanding their needs, and customizing anesthetic plans to ensure both safety and effectiveness. Her training at a Level I trauma center equipped her with extensive experience in high-acuity cases, including trauma and transplant surgeries, skills she has refined and applied throughout her career as an attending anesthesiologist.

As Medical Director, Dr. Thakkar views leadership as a responsibility to mentor and support fellow physicians. She emphasizes guiding her colleagues through clinical challenges while helping translate their expertise into optimal patient outcomes.

Dr. Thakkar completed medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine and her residency at Loyola University Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Her diverse and rigorous training has shaped her ability to deliver exceptional care across a wide range of clinical scenarios.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Thakkar prioritizes balance through mindfulness and movement. She enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with her husband and children—values that help her remain grounded while managing the demands of a medical career.
“Balancing medicine with family life is always a challenge,” she noted. “Being intentional and deliberate with my time allows me to maintain that balance.”
