Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Promotes Drew Vermilion to Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Strategy & Chief of Staff

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer's)—the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol—today announced that it has promoted Drew Vermilion to the role of Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Strategy & Chief of Staff.

In his new position, Vermilion will report directly to Bobby Burg, Senior Vice President, Operations & Chief Supply Chain Officer, and will spearhead Southern Glazer’s long-term supply chain strategy across all aspects of the organization. Vermilion’s tenure at Southern Glazer’s spans 19 years, during which he has worked in operations, technology, and supply chain.

Diego Fonseca succeeds Vermilion as Vice President, Supply Chain & Logistics. In this role, he is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for sales and operations forecasting, replenishment, logistics, inventory optimization, supplier collaboration, the Supply Chain Management Analytics Center of Excellence, and Ankaa Global Logistics.

Diego brings 10 years of experience from Kraft Heinz, where he served as the Head of Digital Supply Chain Transformation as well as Head of Supply Chain Execution for North America, delivering best-in-class performance and tech innovation across the end-to-end supply chain. Prior to his role at Kraft Heinz, he cultivated his expertise as a Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and earned a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Operations Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
