Veteran compliance leader brings more than two decades of institutional compliance experience, including over 20 years at T. Rowe Price, to support Smead's mission of building long-term wealth for its investors.

Smead Capital Management, a Phoenix-based investment management firm and a leader in value investing, has appointed Brian Briggs as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer.

Briggs brings more than two decades of experience in investment management compliance, including over 20 years at T. Rowe Price Associates, where he served as Director of Investments and Trading Compliance. In his past roles in key compliance positions at established firms, Briggs was responsible for overseeing regulatory programs, managing firmwide risk frameworks, and ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory standards. Prior to joining Smead, he served as VP/Director, Regulatory Compliance at OneMain Financial. Briggs holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.

In his role as Chief Compliance Officer, Briggs will oversee Smead’s firmwide compliance program, including regulatory adherence, internal policies and procedures, and risk oversight.
